The name is JUSTDAVE but you can just call me DAVE! :D lol
I am known by my stage name JUSTDAVEthe_1, and I am a hip hop artist, MC, and producer born in Bangladesh; raised on a farm near Langham, Saskatchewan. I strive to share a positive, healing message through my art and lyrics. The goal of my music is to give listeners a fresh, unique, and, most importantly, positive experience
in hip-hop.
I want to make you dance. Make you smile. Make you nod to the rhythm. Whatever gets you movin' out of the bad moods we find ourselves in. Hip-Hop was born in struggle and by uniting people under one banner. All genres of music can be and are sampled for any new hip hop track and I intend to remind the world of what Hip Hop means to those who have kept the true spirit alive throughout the years.
My rural upbringing and unique perspective on life is what comes through in my lyrics.
Avoiding main-stream rap culture trends (i.e. nice cars, bling, etc.) and encouraging personal growth and community building.
I am passionate about mental health advocacy and giving a voice to the marginalized.
I grew up having few outlets to deal with the struggles of mental health, and once I found out how therapeutic writing lyrics and making music was, I was committed to sharing my talent and message with the world.
